Foster Contract
1. Foster animals are considered property of Every Life Matters Animal Rescue. My foster animal may not be given away to another person, shelter or rescue organization or passed on to friends/family members without approval of Every Life Matters Animal Rescue.
2. If unable to continue fostering, Every Life Matters Animal Rescue must be given one-week notice to make appropriate arrangements if at all possible.
3. Medical decisions and expenses must be approved by Every Life Matters Animal Rescue and provided by designated veterinarians. After hour emergencies may be taken to the emergency vet without
approval, if unable to locate a member of Every Life Matters Animal Rescue. If taken to a clinic without prior approval, except in an emergency, medical expenses may not be compensated for my foster animal.
4. Reimbursement of vet expenses will require copies of bills. Foster parent will not normally be reimbursed for extra expenses such as toys and treats. Food will be supplied if needed. If you go out of town, please give us as much notice as possible so we can find a temporary foster and avoid incurring boarding costs.
5. Every Life Matters Animal Rescue will not typically be responsible for medical or other expenses incurred by the foster parent’s own pet while fostering for Every Life Matters Animal Rescue.
6. Dogs may be indoor/outdoor during the day but kept inside at night and during extreme heat or cold.
Every Life Matters Animal Rescue has permission to make home inspections, with a 24-hour notice, and if the situation warrants, the animal may be removed immediately.
8. Foster parent agrees to bring the animal to adoption events as much as possible. I agree to pick him/her up after the event unless other arrangements have been made in advance. I understand that bringing the foster pet to events increases the chances for adoption.
9. All adoptions require a pre-adoption application, interview, home check (by foster parent or Every Life Matters Animal Rescue representative), adoption contract and adoption donation in advance of the animal exchange. All adoptions must be approved by appropriate Every Life Matters Animal Rescue representatives.
10. If foster parent finds a potential adopter, be it a friend, family member or colleague from work, the same process holds true as #9.
11. Checks are payable to Crystal Robbins, (President of Every Life Matters Animal Rescue). The adoption fee will be considered a donation.
12. Foster parent releases Every Life Matters Animal Rescue, its officers, directors and volunteers from any claims, liabilities, or expenses for any damages incurred while fostering.
